ADE515 - Change and Innovation in Art Education / Faculty of Education

This course focuses on a change as it applies to, contemporary visual art education and students’ artwork. Recent styles, trends and development in visual art are studied in relation to changes in art, art education and the society. Students will explore and investigate to find the reasons for change. Towards the end of the course, students will experiment with their own ideas of innovation using selected media, techniques and processes. Through a series of lectures, workshops and individual research projects, students will gain skills and understandings of the theoretical, performative and evaluative knowing of art studio and art criticism.
