ADE430 - Approaches in Contemporary Drawing / Faculty of Education

This course focuses on the development of observational skills and drawing techniques, employing a wide range of drawing media and subject matter. An introduction to the basic concepts, exploration and techniques used in drawing. These concepts include, but are not limited to, linear perspective, figure/ground relationships, and composition. Students acquire skills in modeling forms and creating more expressive drawings using a variety of media. Through group critiques and individual instruction, students develop an understanding of drawing as a practice/process and begin building the foundation of a strong Research Work Book (RWB)
