Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the use of the Kodaly approach in teaching singing to primary school children in Malaysia on how is the Kodaly approach used in teaching singing to primary school children by music teachers who had attended the Kodaly teacher's training at Young Choral Academy, Malaysia and to identify the benefits of using the Kodaly approach in teaching singing to primary school children in Malaysia. Quantitative method was used in this study whereby there are subjective questions in sections B and C. The 7 music teachers were respondents in this study responded to questions on how they use the Kodaly approach and how it benefits their teaching skills.
