Abstract
This paper is made with an attempt to bridge the gap in the literature by offering empirical evidence about Estimating the Domestic Determinants of Foreign Direct Investment Inflows in Malaysia .The secondary data for analysis is retrieved from one country selected which is Malaysia for 31 years period from 1982-2012. The study aims to explore the factors effects foreign direct investment in Malaysia, i.e. gross domestic product (GDP),exchange rate (EX ) and degree of openness(OPEN). Applying correlations and multiple regression analysis, the result shows that there are significant positive associations between selected factors and foreign direct investment inflows in Malaysia. Thus it highlights the importance of factors determinants foreign direct investment an improvement in country development and success in future.
