Abstract
Nowadays, building maintenance issue is the most attractive attention where there are many reports or complaints from the publics about the conditions of the building is not satisfactory. This issues are generally concerned on a building which are under local authority managements. The study was conducted to examine the current method of building maintenance management which hasbeen managed by Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL). The scope of this study only focused on the Klang Valley area only. This study has been made covered by the relevant literature review and followed with distribution of a questionnaires to the publics to know the reaction of satisfaction towards the buildings in case study. All data that was collected has been analyzed by using manual methods. The result has been obtained where the public is satisfied withthe maintenance management for selected four case studies but there is a questions where the comfort level have a differences while all building has been managed by same organization of maintenance management. In order to improve any deficiency, the author have proposed some recommendations after analyzing the findings and response of the publics satisfaction towards the selected four case studies which are managed by DBKL. All results that has been obtained can be used as a guidance for public / private organization in order to enhance or improve the building maintenance management until there are not a lot of problems that might occurs on the building in Malaysia in a future.
