The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between housing price index and macroeconomic variables. This research will use housing price as dependent variable. Whereas, the independent variables are gross domestic product (GDP), base lending rate (BLR), inflation rate (INF) and real property gains tax (RPGT). The sampling frame used in this study is the data collected from January 1999 to December 2013 on a quarterly basis for fifteen years. All the data collected was based on the Malaysian economy to analyze the impact of macroeconomic variables towards the housing price. The study employed a time series multiple regression analysis.
