Abstract
Islamic economics is one of the key aspects that contributes to the rapid development aspect of the world economy today. Society has now begun to realize the advantages of Islamic investment products that are comparable or even better than conventional investment products. The emergence of various Islamic contracts today is against the background of efforts to avoid usury practices that occur in conventional companies and also as an alternative financing instrument for entrepreneurs or countries according to sharia. Because of that, the main objective of this study is to examine the level of understanding and knowledge of students of UITM Dungun Terengganu Branch, especially on the Islamic-based investment system of sukuk and also students' awareness of the existence of welfare sukuk contracts in helping Malaysians in go on with daily life. This study was conducted on a study sample of 110 students of the Education program from four different courses, namely, Diploma in Muamalat Management, Diploma in Hotel Management, Diploma in Investment Analysis, and Diploma in Electrical Engineering. The researcher conducted the survey using a five -point Likert scale questionnaire instrument by distributing questions in the form of Google Form to all respondents involved. In analyzing the data, Microsoft Excel as well as the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) will be used to test the results on descriptive analysis, and reliability tests. In addition, the Mean Score Interpretation Table constructed by Nunnally and Berstein (1994) will also be used in this study to measure mean scores. Therefore, the information and knowledge for analysis and discussion of the results is sufficient and the results of this study can answer all the objectives that have been given to the respondents related to the study.
