This course provides an overview of understanding and managing modern information systems (IS) within the public sector to enhance the quality of public governance. The extensive use of ICT within government and public administration is the focus of the course. The basic building blocks of e-government and social informatics that guide the development and use of ICT systems to disseminate information and provide services will be examined and discussed.
