Abstract
The course offers an Introduction to Design through the study of archetypes and master works in the arts and architecture with focus on understanding the character, function and language of design. Several exercises on the appreciation of basic language in design encompassing the fields of music, painting, sculpture, dance and architecture will highlight the comparative design experience of the inter-related fields.
