Defects Liability Period (DLP) is wells know building terminology in construction industry. At this point the performance of the building is measured in many aspects. In housing construction industry, meaning this is a time where homebuyer will get peace of mine on their property or headache after delivery of vacant possession by developer. Recently, Housing Developers (Control and Licensing) Act 1966 has amended the current regulation and extends the Defects Liability Period to 24 months instead of 18 months.
