Abstract

Defects Liability Period (DLP) is wells know building terminology in construction industry. At this point the performance of the building is measured in many aspects. In housing construction industry, meaning this is a time where homebuyer will get peace of mine on their property or headache after delivery of vacant possession by developer. Recently, Housing Developers (Control and Licensing) Act 1966 has amended the current regulation and extends the Defects Liability Period to 24 months instead of 18 months. This is a one step to another big step to protect homebuyer especially for those have low or middle income During this Defects Liability Period, so many problems are occur, from the shoddy workmanship until issuance of CFO "or now is CCC, by indentified this problem, maybe the homebuyer will have a little knowledge and idea to what happen in housing development industry and to prepare themselves in future.
