The impact of construction site towards surrounding area / Mohd Radzi Malek

This dissertation is about the impact of construction site towards surrounding area. It is about comparative case studies between 3 different locations and type of construction in Shah Alam and Petaling Jaya. Each project implemented a different type of buildings. In Shah Alam, there are two locations which already investigate by the writer namely terrace housing project at Section U/10, Puncak Perdana and condominium project at Jalan Pualam 7/32, Section 7. While the commercial and service apartment project at Jalan Barat, Section 8, Petaling Jaya is one of the case study outside Shah Alam. Generally, each activity in construction site has an impact whether it is short term and long term. The studies are more about the impact towards surrounding area which close to construction site. A study showed that public gives negative views about the construction comparable to positive reactions. The writer will state a few factors of the impact in the next chapter. Furthermore, the developer must need to identify the requirement of construction site before they start the activities. They must follow the regulation for site preparation such as hoardings and fences, safety and security aspects and the method of construction that to be choose by developers and contractors. The study about surrounding area also will discuss in the next chapter which involved many aspects including physical condition, natural and artificial elements of surrounding and human activities.
