Abstract
Does it important a city to become more walkable? How do an accessible path and route leads to walkable city? Most of the urban areas are filled with vehicles and humans but do we know which users that need to be prioritize more? The current range and manner of satisfying variety of people needs, especially for their daily commuting activities is one of the basic and critical tasks to do when developing the surrounding environment. In the built environment, public space is a significant component to improve the quality of that aspect in the public realm. Accessibility plays an important role with the built environment and followed by inclusive design that will provide safe and secure routes and path towards the pedestrian. The aim of the project is to promotes Seremban Town Centre become more walkable and have a clear access from the user's origin to destination point using creative and innovative landscape design. Therefore, this project will find the solution and implementing how to achieve a safe and secure environment to attract more pedestrian to walk more in the city. This project emphasizes the importance of enhancing the accessibility aspect in order to create a safe and friendly public space to have the expectation of perfect connection in the built environment. Accessibility also will be the key element in order to make this project successful by identifying the important and potential routes. Moreover, accessibility is a factor that provide a conducive living. Designing a safe and secure enviromnent towards the accessibility will make the city more walkable in the future.
