The study of effectiveness of Prihatin Economic Stimulus Package Policy towards affected people in Negeri Sembilan / Aniz Fazlind Anuar

Covid-19 disease has spread around the world, Malaysia also affected, and this impact can be seen on the health, lifestyle, spending, and education. The virus has taken live of people more than 1.8 million worldwide, which spiking fears, anxiety, and state of panic that impact the various well-being and socioeconomic concerns among human population. Therefore, government of Malaysia took action by enforcing Movement Control Order (MCO) in order to break the chain of Covid-19. This order being enforced because it is believed to help control the spread of Covid-19 under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 and the Police Act 1967. However, the implementation effects the growth of economy where this can be seen when national GDP drop, increase of poverty and unemployment rate causing to contraction of economy. For that reason, government take action by formulate and implement the Prihatin Economic Stimulus Package Policy where the objective is to help Rakyat, empowering business and stimulate the economy. The study conducts to investigate the effectiveness of Prihatin Economic Stimulus Package Policy. The ability to encounter the effects of Covid-19 towards individual. A sample of 300 of people in Negeri Sembilan. The purpose of the study to investigate examined and compared the relationship between public opinion, economic condition and policy implementation and the effectiveness of Prihatin Economic Stimulus Package Policy towards affected people in Negeri Sembilan. The study was carried between April until August 2022. This study employed a probability stratified sampling techniques in collecting the survey data. Firstly, majority of the respondents agreed that high degree level of effectiveness of Prihatin Economic Stimulus Package Policy. Second, there is positive relationship of public opinion, economic condition, and policy implementation with the effectiveness of Prihatin Economic Stimulus Package Policy. Therefore, this Therefore, this studies uniquely positions itself to make both theoretical and empirical contributions to the multi-domain literature including management and psychology literature.
