Abstract

Phenomena Covid-19 in Malaysia was happened in December 2019 until now 2021, and the construction industry has to stop immediately because of the Movement Control Order (MCO) in 2020. After MCO 1.0 for 6 month, construction started operation with the best practices standards operating procedure (SOPs) at construction site. The Standard operating standard (SOPs) one of methods has been used at construction sites, the problems is where construction site do not followed the SOPs. Construction site also has to doesn’t operational as usual because of the virus corona. In this research, research do some of research about the best practices at construction in Malaysia, which half of construction has followed the SOPs at their workplaces but also have construction site doesn’t followed the best practice SOPs at construction. During the MCO, construction economy was decrease within in Malaysia and oversea, but researchers focuses on Malaysia industry. In this researches, researches also provided the best practices that has been used at construction site such the several type of best practices Standard Operating Procedure (SOPS) at construction. For example, wearing make, sanitizing, wearing Personal protective equipment (PPE) and etc. Mostly of construction site using the same procedures that has been established from Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), the occupational Safety and health Act (OSHA), Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) and etc. The result also revealed that expert of construction site followed the guideline during MCO/ Covid-19. In the research, researcher will focused on the best practices SOPs at construction. Researcher also will recommend the best practices to ensure the construction industry are followed SOPs guideline.
