Abstract

This study aims to examine the safety awareness level of site construction team management and labours in Malaysia and malpractice of scaffolding erection in high rise building. Where, this study was conducted to assess the most failure of scaffolding erection and determine about the method how to enhance the safety of scaffolding erection in construction site. This study will use an online questionnaire on the Google Form platform to evaluate the proper design and installation of scaffolding structures that adhere to the implemented requirements based on design and specific materials and used quantitative method of data collection. The literature review will discover information on scaffolding erection, the factors and causes of scaffolding failure based on 2015 data from a past research, and the errors and also the guidelines of approved scaffolding requirements in the early phases of this study. The research question distributed to 45 respondents from two different demographic profiles such as team management and construction site labourers from high rise building construction.
