Abstract
The famous myth, Raja Bersiong, was turned into film in the 60's, and has become a film that has captured the attention of many and remained in their heart. It is a legend that is being passed from one generation to the next, and hopefully never be forgotten. To date, the palace of Kota Raja Bersiong, which has significant of the architecture and the heritage value, is abandoned, a sore to the eyes of those living surrounding it. If such op-portunity existed in a western country, it would have been developed into film tourism, dark tourism, and with the current location, near to a river and museum, the possibility of river tourism is there. Thus, this innovation is a conceptual project converting Kota Raja Bersiong through four concepts of development which are: Raja Bersiong Interpretive Centre, river tourism, film tourism & the Istana Budaya concept. In addition, this palace also should take into consideration to be conserved as one of the inheritances from the past especially for the future generation. The transformation will not only benefit the tourism industry but also the local community in the area which will provide the opportunity of employment and increase standard of living, through the churning of extra income. It is planned to sell the idea to the federal and state development authority.
