Abstract
The study was carried out in order to implement online database management system to cater project's records built up by students in all faculties in Universiti Teknologi MARA Pahang. The prototype of Project Record Management System (PRMS) is built using the MySQL relational database, together with PHP and Apache Web server. The main idea of PRMS is to manage project's record and enable information sharing. Among the benefits of PRMS is that it could support multi-user simultaneously and facilitate quick response to queries, updates and reports. The web-based applications have made the PRMS accessible to users in dispersed locations where it can easily accessed by users via the Internet. Therefore, the use of PRMS has promotes more effective and efficient information sharing, record management and communications between students, lecturers as well as industries. This new phenomenon will bring the concept where students' project record would be no more content to the faculty district. This new technology also could help the advancement of information technologies and communications among lecturers, students and industries. Future work will involve the collaboration with other campuses and universities in order to promote the use of PRMS.
