Case study in sheet metal forming of bracket stabilizer / Ahmad Ismail Kamsah and Mohd Zainudin Mah Hasan

This study case is all about the sheet metal forming of bracket stabilizer. First of all the main objective of the study case are mentioned first. Then the general sheet metal forming is discussed. After that, we have related and specific focus of general sheet metal forming to the sheet metal forming of bracket stabilizer. In order to understand, the sheet metal forming of bracket stabilizer, die engineering must be study first, therefore the brief description of die, die set, die assembly, die part and block are discussed. After die engineering is studied, the sheet metal forming process of bracket stabilizer is identified. The studies includes the drawing, trimming, forming, trim, piercing, marking, spot nut weld, incoming inspection and final inspection process. It is important to identify the material used during the process, the material of the product in term of stress strain, hardness and fracture toughness is studied. Finally, the stamping machine used during the sheet metal forming of bracket stabilizer is discussed.
