Abstract
This paper discusses on the needs for information professionals (IP), among the policy makers in the Federal Administrative Centre of Malaysia, Putrajaya. Due to hectic schedule of policy makers, they might face difficulties in accessing information for policy making and might also lack in skill of information seeking that an IP possesses. The research fries to expose to the policy makers on the importance of an IP among them, and how can these professionals contribute to the development of a policy in the ministries. The study was conducted on the policy maker particularly from four chosen ministries. The ministries are The Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Youth and Sport and The Ministry of Home Affairs. Questionnaires were distributed to each ministry and data was collected to be analyzed using a data analyzing software known as Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS).
