Abstract
This project is to invent the parabolic reflector in combination with omnidirectional antenna of Wi-Fi. The parabolic reflector is built from the solid aluminum sheet to produce better gains. The size of parabolic reflector is suitable to the size of the dipole antenna in the Access Point. The parabolic reflector used in this experiment has the diameter of 210mm and depth of 65mm. The focal length of reflector is 42.40, used to calculated coordinate of x and y for plotting parabolic shape. Results verified that the used of this parabolic reflector in combination with omnidirectional antenna is able to increase the signal strength twice, increase almost double the distance of coverage range and also support more additional nodes at the maximum distance of the coverage range. This product very easy to produce with low cost materials and can be used to cover every corner of the house or office with Wi-Fi signal.
