Skim Pinjaman Buku Teks (SPBT) Management System using SMS notification / Noor Airennatasha Jailani

This project is concentrates on management system of Skim Pinjaman Buku Teks (SPBT) for SMK Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (SMK SSAAS). The management system helps in managing the process of storing, retrieving and updating the information involved with returning and borrowing the textbooks and student’s information. This can help the people that handle SPBT management, the secretary and class teacher in controlling the process easily. However, another problem faced by stakeholders is the difficulty for students to meet the dates and times set out to return or borrow textbooks. Therefore, a web-based application of Skim Pinjaman Buku Teks (SPBT) Management System using Short Message Services (SMS) Notification is developed so that it can help to notify the parents about the date via SMS and simplify SPBT management. The system is developed by using Waterfall methodology. There are three phases implemented in this project that are requirement analysis, system design and implementation. Requirement analysis is a phase to gain and gather the requirements from the stakeholder and it is important since all requirements from the stakeholders will be used in this project. All requirements are documented in Software Requirement Specification (SRS). Next, system design is a phase where to design the system, design user interface, design the database and document the system design in Software Design Document (SDD). The implementation phase is to develop the system which include all the requirements stated in the SRS and SDD. Finding and analysis are being done according to ensure that the objective corresponds with the methodology. As a result, the system has
developed and able to minimize the problems faced by the stakeholder. Any enhancement to this project in the future are strongly encouraged such as to improves the system that can provides all the processes such as involves all students in the school, extends to other functions such as payment of textbooks via online, to integrate into a mobile application, to develop a system that allows students to use it, and to develop a QR code scanner feature.
