Abstract
Calendar is a system which is often used to organize days for social, religious, commercial, or administrative purposes. A computerized system which is the digital calendar can be set to remind the user of upcoming events and appointments via reminders. This research presents a personal calendar application with voice reminder. The application is design to help people manage their personal calendars. The requirements needed to develop the application are studied according to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and also Waterfall Model. Currently, calendar has the reminders that make it easier for the user to be alert about any important events but they might miss text alert sent through email or text messages on the mobile phones. For this reason, this calendar application with voice reminder is developed to act as an alternative for the users where the notes typed will be converted into speech. The application is developed using PHP programming language Text-To-Speech (TTS) technique in Windows 7 environment. This calendar is believed to be helpful for the user in order for them to plan their schedules.
