A development of mobile examination results application for Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah / Norliyati Rohman

Students who are taking examinations in any learning institution would like to get their results as early as possible. The widely use of mobile phone among students in higher learning institution could be utilized to become a medium to deliver the examination results. The Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (PSA) students currently may get their semester examination results in Online Examination Results System. Current system has several limitations on the system accessibility and the availability where the results cannot be accessible on-time. Additionally, PSA plan to emerge mobile computing environment to give better service in teaching and learning experience. The objectives of the project are to identify user requirement, to design and to develop a Mobile Examination Results application for Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah. The requirements is gathered by conducting interview from the stakeholders and reviewing internal document, journal, website and other related document. The mobile application then is designed with accepted system flow, system interface and database connectivity before it is developed using Apache Cordova framework in Android platform. This project has achieved the objectives to develop an application in retrieval of examination results using mobile technology. Further research could be enhanced by provide more related features with other different mobile platform. This mobile application will provide facilities for students to retrieve their examination results efficiently through their mobile device besides forming a good reputation to the institution.
