Foreign Worker Management System in Construction Industry (FWMS) / Hafizi Ayub

Nowadays, there are many systems and application has been migrated to the web-based in world. For the time being, in Ireka Engineering and Construction Sdn. Bhd, staff still using the manually system such as file and papers to store the records of their foreign workers who worked at their construction sites. It sometimes difficult for staff to do searching among a thousand of files for finding workers information. Furthermore, it is hard to mobilize and needs space to keep the storage of files. This system is mainly to help staff to manage their foreign workers information in an effective way. It is also to help staff handle those records in more proper and systematic ways. The aim of this system is to design a system which can manage the foreign workers information and also capable to give notification on foreign workers expiry date status. With this system, the staff can use the system in easily, save time and systematic compared to existing method. PHP language and MySQL database will be used as the platform in development of this. Five major activities are being taken to completing the objectives of the system. The first activity is initial and planning to identify research area, problem statement, objectives, scope and significant of research. The second activity is requirement gathering where data collection from the journals that are found. The third activity is requirement analysis. The forth activity is designing system design and detailed design. The fifth activity is to develop Foreign Workers Management System in Construction Industry (FWMS). Finally, with this completed system hopefully it can help staff manage the foreign workers information effectively and systematically.
