Abstract
Professional Training, Research and Development Centre (ProTRAD) is a unit of Institute of Research, Development and Commercialization (IRDC) in MARA University of Technology (UiTM). It acts as a representative of IRDC unit for FTMSK in order to manage the research, consultation and also information on academic publication. In order to make the functionality of ProTRAD become more effective, a web-based application is created to smooth its' operation. This web-based system is created based on the on-line document concept whereby the system will hold all information about the research proposal and other documentation as well. This project is focusing more on application process that involve 2 different forms. It is a Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) and Self-Funding research. This system will help researcher to make an application anywhere and everywhere whether ProTRAD secretary is around or not. Besides that, the committee will easily know how much research that has been done and active in every year. By applying this concept, there will be no more waiting time in order to approve the research proposal and it reduce the usage of paper in order to keep the environment safe from pollution. The researcher also can check their application status through the system.
