Abstract
This study focuses on the use of mobile devices in Education in Institutions of Higher Level in Malaysia, especially in UNITEN. A study focuses to determine the perception of readiness from learners at the UNITEN. The purpose of this study is to analyze in terms of readiness and a positive perception towards the adoption of Mlearning in the application of education among students. A total of 100 students were randomly selected to respond to an adapted questionnaire. Using SPSS 17, the data were processed and analyzed descriptively. The descriptive results showed that the participants displayed readiness and positive perceptions toward using mobile devices for learning. The findings show that although students are still not ready to use on mobile learning but theoretically they believe that mobile learning can help improve ways of delivering for learning in classroom. Based on Cronbach's Alpha, the result is .918 for prior knowledge and followed by perceived ease of use which is .909. Lower result is current use which is about .846. Learner's also prefer learning using mobile device as tools for learning educations in future environment and also discusses the effectiveness of mobile learning into the mainstream of higher level education in Malaysia. The result provides insights to developers on student's readiness and perception towards mobile learning based on usage of mobile device as a tool in education.
