Abstract
It is found that children have difficulties in constructing good sentences because good sentences composed of grammatical procedure which children have not mastered and still in the learning process. Checking their grammar is important in order for them to produce a good short essay based on their short sentences formed earlier. Thus, this study is to focus on the sentence composition in Bahasa Melayu among children in primary school. By incorporating storytelling module in the proposed prototype, this study is trying to determine whether the storytelling module can motivate children in understanding and acknowledging their grammatical errors in composing short sentences and whether this learning approach can really assist children in composing short sentences well.
