Abstract
Use of natural dye has increases due to environmental friendly properties that make it popular recently. In this study, Henna leaves (Lawsonia Inermis) was chosen because it contains dye along with the ingredients. The dye stuff was extracted and dyed on the cotton fabric using different pH to analyze the colour strength and colour fastness. The natural dye was extracted by henna leaves using boiling method. Various pH values on the dyeing solution were determined to be pH 4, 7 and 8 for acidic, neutral and alkaline respectively. Different pH values may produce different colour results. The effect of the colour strength and colour fastness will then analyze.
