Abstract
The study is to analyze the comprehensiveness of Malaysian legislation covering pedestrians and to what extent the laws on jaywalking cover as between pedestrians in general, subsequently providing comparison with the road laws of certain developed countries which provide us with an eye-opening enlightenment regarding the insufficiency in enforcing our own local laws. The statutes and provisions relating to pedestrians are thus specifically elaborated and analyzed in order to identify and acknowledge the issue in certain legal issues which affect the road users. This research will provide valuable information regarding the laws on jaywalking in Malaysia and address sufficient solutions in solving this current growing issue.
