Maintenance work of fire safety system, at Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM) Kubang Kerian, Kelantan / Mohamad Ikhwan Che Mohd Din

There are many type of maintenance I have done while I’m in UKP team in HUSM such as maintained the facilities in the building when the problem occur. The maintenance work for lighting systems, air conditioning, fire fighting systems, public services such as pipe, toilet and so on. The maintenance work in HUSM also includes the generator set that must be tested every week that usually done on every Thursday for all generator set in HUSM. During the four months of practical training at Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital Kubang Kerian, I have learned how theory and practical can be combined together in useful ways and how remarkable and enjoyable practical training could be. While deadlines and skills are highly demanded, creativity is not limited and true innovation occurs throughout my practical training at Engineering and Maintenance Unit in Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM). As a result, I gained more knowledge and learned new things and most importantly I experienced the real working environment all by myself. In term of relationship, I was lucky enough to work with a group of enthusiastic and communicative people, who for whatever reason willing to share their knowledge and experience of what they are doing. Besides, the
atmosphere at HUSM is unique and hope that it will stays that way.
