Abstract

This study is to fulfil high ordering demand for Front Comer Module from customer which focusing on increasing the output capacity on the assembly line process by changing manpower setting and also by improving the current layout. Fulfilling customer demand is important because this will reflect the company capability, overall performance and also ensuring new business project in the future. This study is done by measuring actual cycle time taken from the current running condition which will highlight the highest cycle time that need to be look into. Possible solutions such as improvement on the programme running on the assembly line process, man power allocation and process flow layout will significantly increase the overall efficiency of the line. Impact on those improvement plans have be analysed and discussed to come up with the best results to increase the output capacity to meet high ordering demand.
