Abstract

Green Building Index defines as environmental rating system tools for building. It is also is the first comprehensive rating system to evaluate environmental design and building performance. The green features are significantly to amplify the positive impacts towards the environment as well as the needs of building ability to go green in such way by adopting greener practices. Futhermore, Green Building Index is created to reward the green environmental
leadership and management in order to reduce greater environment impact to surroundings and building occupants. A building which practicing Green Building Index are able to contribute and improve the quality of human life whilst maintaining the capacity of the ecosystem at local and global levels.
Putra Perdana Construction intends to increase their landmarks as a leader player in the green construction and energy efficient buildings in Malaysia. Therefore, Serai Condominium has been shortlisted to participate in achieving Green Building Index. In Serai Project, the project has been awarded a Certified Rating where they implements officially a minimum in fulfill the basic criteria In short, Green Building Index is able to be one of a positive platform in leading a greener development of a building system in future.
