Abstract

The lack of community confidence towards the cooperative which led to the weak management system and governance in cooperatives. This study will explain how about the understanding system and cooperative function. To increase the level of public confidence in a cooperative and to get a view from the respondent about the cooperative management system. The objective in this research is to study the level of public confidence in a cooperative, to study the factors that enable the community to become a member of the cooperative and last to identify the cooperative governance system. The method that been used in this research is quantitative analysis. To analyze the data are using the frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, and reliability analysis. The result shows that majority of respondent have a confident toward the cooperative. Next, the most factor that affecting the respondent to have a cooperative is to get funds after retirement. Lastly, the cooperative will have the good governance if they apply the good corporate governance procedure..
