Abstract
In Malaysia, the fire cases involving the private owned orphanage is keep increasing time to time. Fire will cause injury, loss of life and loss of property. Most people do not alert the important of fire safety management in our life. Proper implementation of fire safety management is a key to providing total fire safety. This study was carried out to measure the level of awareness among the employee on the fire safety management. Other objective of this case study is to identify the hazards of private owned orphanage towards the employee. This study was conducted on three place of private owned orphanage. It is because for easing in compare of three place for the case study. The respondent is only stressed on the employee on three private owned orphanages with consisted of 85 respondents. All the employees in the department were included. The tools used to collect the data were an informal interview, observation methods, and questionnaire. The collected data was analyzed by percentage and mean. The study reveals that a majority of the respondents were knowledgeable and alert about the fire hazards and safety measures. Results of this study were to identify the level of awareness of the employee on the fire safety management aspects.
