User satisfaction on fire safety requirement at heritage school building in Ipoh, Perak / Noraini Zakaria

Safety is importance to prevent injure, accident and ensure all the peoples are safe. The safety in education is a sensible approach to ensure that the building is provides a healthy and safe condition for use to all users in the building. Safety on school can divided into several sections, which are air quality, hygienic, fire hazards, and emergency path. The method that has been use is questionnaires, and observation. The dissertation is focused on the design of fire safety at the heritage school building in Ipoh, Perak. On the other hand, the issues of safety on the school building in fire hazard also have problems. Meanwhile, it also did not have proper and insufficient fire safety equipment to handle the fire hazard where it lack of provided facilities management by owner or the minister of education. Therefore, the satisfaction and safety level on the user of the building does not achieve in ministry lesson. The researches points that there are several recommendations to solve the problems in building management system and technical. The literature review is relevant to maintenance; fire equipment and conservation work on the heritage building and issues in facing the school building in Malaysia.
