Abstract
Waqf means hold, to prevent or restrain in Arabic word or in legal terms it means to protect a thing from becoming the property of a third person. It is defined as permanent submission by a Muslim of a valuable property to the ownership of Allah SWT. Waqf is a unique system of philanthropy recommended in Islam which is played as a significant role in rendering exemplary social welfare services. Historically, the institution of waqf using the welfare services in the areas of healthcare, education, social welfare and other community programs. In healthcare services, it included the construction of hospitals, as well as spending on patients, physician and medicines that was another significant beneficiary of the waqf revenues. The main purpose of this exploratory study is to identify the importance of infrastructure waqf healthcare among Shah Alam employee. This study applies quantitative and qualitative approach with the use of survey questionnaires as the main instrument of data collection. A total of 100 respondents were selected for the purpose of this study. As a result from this research, the results of the study highlight that the respondents have knowledge and aware about waqf healthcare. It indicates, that the respondent have them own perspectives on waqf healthcare yet suggest the best model of waqf healthcare in their place.
