Abstract
This special project is in partial fulfillment of the Degree course in Teaching English as a Second Language ( TESL ) at UiTM, Cawangan Terengganu, Dungun, Terengganu.
This project is undertaken with the hope that the effect of using pictures in the reading comprehension can make the lesson more comprehensible. In addition, it can create interest and inculcate the students* reading habits and thus raise their language proficiency level.
This project is also intended for the English Language teacher, whereby some recommendations on how to teach reading comprehension effectively through pictures, are given.
In this study, the instruments used were questionnaires and classroom observation / activity. The subjects were the Form 3 firdaus of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Guntong, Kuala Terengganu.
