Abstract

The factors such as economic, income and the rural community empowerment in decision making reflect as a medium in Homestay that gives effects to the local people in Kaiduan, Kinarut. The successful of development depend on local people acceptance toward accepting the benefit in the future. The study refers to the local people perception towards Homestay as a potential development from the factors such as economic, income and the rural community empowerment in decision making in Kaiduan, Kinarut. The study is mutually based on the perception of the local people from Kampung Kaiduan Kinarut, Papar on the potential of development. The local people also believe that with Homestay as a
potential development in the rural area of Kaiduan it will help increase the local people opportunities in their economic factors. The culture and the lifestyle of the local people is the limitation that becomes the barriers to the development in Homestay.
