Industrial Training Report: Pharmacy Department University Malaya Medical Center / Azlianis Ab Razab

Overall, this report is based on my industrial training period from O l August to O 1 Jan 2017 in the Department of Pharmacy, University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC). It explains the operations, services and activities carried out in the Department of Pharmacy, which covers the entire units and sub-units. Among them is pharmacy logistics divided into three sub-units namely Store Pharmacy, PharmUMMC (Retail), and Pharm Selatan (Retail). While, ambulatory has four sub-units including Outpatient Pharmacy, PharmCARE, Pharmacy Medical Psychology, and Emergency Pharmacy. Also located at the 1st floor is inpatient pharmacy. Among the sub-units are Inpatient Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy Services, Drug stocks Supply Center in Wad (Imprest), Pediatrics Pharmacy and Therapeutic Drug Monitoring. This Phamacy also has its own Pharmaceutical manufacturing comprising sterile complex, General Manufacturing Laboratory and Screening Unit Chemotherapy. Drug information and informatics also is the main unit consisting of sub-units Drug Information Center, Informatics Pharmacy Management, Safety Management, Quality and Practice of Pharmacy, Coordination Training, and Drug Clinical Research Coordination.
