Abstract
Agrotourism is a combination of agricultural activities and the tourism sector. This requires a variety of agricultural activities and fresh natural areas. Gunung Keriang has the potential to be used as an agriculture-based tourism centre due to its environment that meets the main characteristics of Agrotourism. However, there are some problems that cause Gunung Keriang not to succeed in attracting the attention of outsiders, among them is the lack of promotion about Gunung Keriang and the lack of interesting places provided for tourists to visit. To conduct this study, there are four (4) stages of methodology used, the first stage is preliminary data consisting of goals, objectives, issues and problems, study area and scope of study. The second stage is data collection to collect information about the study conducted. This data collection is divided into two (2) types, primary data and secondary data. Primary data will be done with questionnaires, on -site observations and surveys. For secondary data, go through the Kota Setar District Local Plan and the Kedah State official website to find information about the study area such as maps and data. The third stage is the analysis and findings of the study which will explain the results from the data collection made and finally the recommendation stage which will give an overview of the proposal for Gunung Keriang as an agriculture-based tourism destination in Kedah Darul Aman. As a result of the findings, Gunung Keriang is an area with great potential to be developed as a tourism centre because Gunung Keriang itself is an image of Alor Setar, Kedah Darul Aman and has its own history. Therefore, the authorities can take the opportunity to raise the Gunung Keriang area as a tourism centre, especially agriculture-based tourism, this will improve the image and economic development of Kedah Darul Aman.
