Abstract

Flash flood hazard is the caused by the seasonal monsoon rain when inadequate drainage systems are unable to channel the water flow properly. The overflow of the rivers is the major reason for occurring flash floods in the city. There are several issue and problem that has been identified in this study such as the overflow of Temiang River and Linggi River beside the residential area which is Kampung Datuk Mansor during the rainstorm, more than four hundred fifty residents affected during flash flood, man missing during the flash flood incident and damage and losses for this study, will be focused on the impact toward resident such as physical economy resident, resident health and environment. However, several factors that affects while flash floof hazard which are building damage, vehicle damage, house furniture damage, job issue, income issue, resident health and vegetation affected. This study conducted using questionnaire to collect the data analysis and identify the issues and problems to the study. The finding shows the problem and issue during and after the flash flood at Kampung Datuk Mansor. Lastly, the recommendation of this study wants to give idea and support for having the flash flood hazard during and after the flash flood in many ways of problem solving.
