Abstract
Littering awareness is very important in order to solve the littering problem. Awareness is come
from within the person. It depends on them whether they are aware about littering problem
around or not. Littering problem is not a new in Malaysia. Government have taken so many
initiative to overcome the problem unfortunately, there is still rubbish everywhere. There are a
lot rubbish in everywhere especially in commercial area. Therefore, the purpose of this research
is to study the level of littering awareness among people at Menggatal Plaza. This research was
using quantitative data where the questionnaires survey was distributed to the 200 people at
Menggatal Plaza. The data were collected from the workers, seller, retailer, residents, and
customers in that area. Two statistics have been used in this study which is descriptive and
inferential statistic. Cross Tabulation test, Kruskal Wallis test, and Chi Square Test were been
used to study this research. From the findings, it can be conclude that there is no difference
between the age, gender, and level education with level of littering awareness and there is no
correlation between age, gender, and level of education with level of littering awareness.
