NBCT: A study on the allocation of container handling equipment and labour / Norhayati Sulaiman

This thesis has been written for practical overall understanding of allocation the container handling equipment and labour at North Butterworth Container Terminal (NBCT). It is intended not only for academic purposes, but also for the reference of the company. The opportunity has been taken to identify process of allocation the container handling equipment and labour, utilisation of equipment and the container handling operations. As a new container terminal NBCT is trying to improve its services. This is to ensure that they can increase the efficiency of container handling operations. Therefore, this study attempts to highlight the problems faced by NBCT. Finally, a few recommendation has been made in order to help NBCT improves its operations.
