Abstract
There has been a serious increase in the issue of juvenile offences in Malaysia. While the number of child offenders is increasing from year to year, the punishments that are being sentenced to these offenders are still as low as possible no matter how gruesome the nature o the crime committed. Thus, there are the needs to look into the causes regarding the punishments that are given by the court's effectiveness in curbing future crimes committed by children. Consequently, through analytical study, this research examines the efficiency of Malaysian laws in controlling child offences and to highlight for a stricter law and more severe punishments to be imposed by the government on the court of Malaysia. This project, in conclusion, it identifies a need for further improvement of our legal system, which may curb the rise of the juvenile offences by giving a more severe sentence to the criminal offenders.
