Abstract
Poverty reduction requires that all people in a country contribute to and benefit from economic growth. It also requires that economic growth be sustainable not only over time but with regard to natural resource deployment, so the needs of future generations can be met as well as those of today. This research aim is to study the impact of economic growth towards poverty reduction over 35 countries in 2015. Poverty headcount ratio as a proxy of poverty reduction has been chosen as dependent variable. There are four independent variables which are growth domestic product (GDPPC), total population (POP), and inflation rate (INCPI) will be used as the independent variables. These independent variables used to see whether there is significant or insignificant relationship with the poverty reduction. This study will apply a cross sectional analysis. This study used secondary data which is obtained from the World Development Indicator (WI)I). The expected finding is that the poverty reduction will be affected by growth domestic product (GDP), total population, and inflation rate.
