Abstract

Export activity always being said as the main activity that contributes to a country economy growth. The growth of the economy is important to determine stability in each sector of the country and to compete with the developed and developing county as well. There will be several factors that affect the export activity in each of the country and this research aim as to find out the significant variables that affect the export activity so the focus will be on them in the future as it helps to grow the export activity in the country. The aim of this research is to determine the determinants of export of goods and services in Asian developing countries. The developing countries choose are Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. This research takes between 1986 to 2015 which is 30 years. Data obtained from World Bank Open Data and regress using EViews 9 using multiple regression model. From this research dependent variable will be Exports of goods and services (% of GDP), independent variables are GDP (current US$), Domestic credit to private sector (% of GDP) and Foreign Direct Investment (BOP, current US$). The result will be obtained using the log-linear model framework. Expected finding for this research are positive relationship between gross domestic product, domestic credit to private sector and foreign direct investment to export of goods and services. Gross domestic product not significant to export of goods and services.
