This study discusses the development of the Malay garden concept through traditional Malay literature and site observation ofthe Malay villages along Peninsular Malaysia. The hereditary of traditional Malay culture, as well as garden design concept, can offer a guideline towards safe cities and resilience communities which lead to boosting the growth of the integrity and the authenticity of the traditional Malay garden design..The strength of these characters will extensively be used in developing the concept of landscape design in Malaysia due to the increasing awareness of community spirit and environmental development as to maintain the quality and sustainability of urban life
