Abstract
The purpose of this study to examines the relationship between the knowledge and attitude among home growers on adoption towards urban farming. Home growers made up of community garden participants at Shah Alam, Selangor were taken as the respondents in this study. Self-administered questionnaire used for collection of data. 160 questionnaires were distributed among the participants of the community garden and 152 were returned in Shah Alam, Selangor, therefore, the response rate was 95%. The results conclude that the attitude of the community garden is significant towards the adoption of urban farming where the beta value obtained was 0.640. Meanwhile there is no significant relationship between knowledge of community garden towards the adoption of urban farming. The most of respondents were female, the age among 51-60 years old, married, Malay and STPM/diploma for education level. Based on the theoretical context, it is hoped that the paper would make a valuable addition to the body of knowledge and attitude adopted towards urban farming and will also encourage greater group interdependence to create a sustainable urban climate. Therefore, able to achieve the target of the second goal of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) which zero hunger.
