Beginning early 2013, the syllabus for Faculty in Civil Engineering has been change which is the student from early semester 4 should undergo industry training for 8 weeks during semester breaks. It is considered compulsory to all students in semester 4 to 6 to continue their training in the company that chosen by own. Industry training is one of the course that student should be appoint in semester 5 which is ECM376. This subject takes
4.0 credit hours which mean the important subject that carry huge different rate in GPA. The student should take it as serious during training lesson. Even though not many things that have been covered for fours five semester, but the knowledge are there when expose to the job environment.

The purpose having this industrial training is to allow students feel the environment in dealing with people from different stages which is managers, colleagues, contractors and many others. In other perspective, industrial training helps students to know about relationship between the subject that study in the universities and real knowledge of engineering field.

During the training session, the students are assign to handle certain project in a time which the student should go through the project that been handled. The students get all information of the project from contract that given to the company. Many important things that related to the project is given to the engineer to handle the project such as bill of quantity, drawing, report from contractors, results of laboratory testing and etc.

The division work from the company is leader by the engineer that has been experienced many years from engineering field. All the scope of work is done effectively by all of the hardworking staff. Management system in the company also should in good progress. In my opinion, that is the crucial way in order to develop the company.

In government sector, it differs from privates sectors in many characteristic. All the elements regarding honest and truth is really important when handling millions ringgit project.
