Abstract
The purpose of this project paper is to determine the relationship among tourism,
environmental degradation and economic growth: evidence from selected Association of
Southeast Asia Nations (ASEAN) countries. This study selects 9 countries with 11 years
of period from 2004 - 2014. Since this study is panel data, the method used in this project
paper is pooled Ordinary Least Square (OLS), Fixed Effect model and Random Effect
Model. This study adopted both descriptive and descriptive analysis in describing the data
set and in investigating the relationship among Economic Growth and Tourism,
Environmental Degradation and Trade Openness. Findings from the regression analysis
reveal the significant relationship between Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and Tourism,
Environmental Degradation and Trade Openness. The regression result there is significant
relationship between economic growth and tourism, environmental degradation and trade
openness.
